As a tropical plant, Aglaomorpha brooksii needs a warm environment that is not too dry. In the winter months, when central heating systems create a dry atmosphere, either mist the fronds regularly with a spray or use sufficient humidifiers to provide the necessary moisture in the atmosphere. If the plant is in a large terrarium it will not need misting but must be watered regularly and never allowed to dry out. The roots are highly decorative and should be left exposed, not buried under compost.
Aglaomorpha brooksii should be placed in half sun or artificial light. It needs plenty of water, preferably from above, and also needs to be sprayed regularly with water. It is essential to ensure effective drainage by growing it in a light soil mixture and a pot that drains well. Generally speaking, ferns do not suffer from pests or diseases. However, if you suspect a problem , simply remove the affected leaf. In most cases this will resolve the problem and the plant’s other leaves will not be affected. Aglaomorpha brooksii needs feeding from time to time to ensure that its leaves maintain their healthy appearance.
