About Araflora

Araflora specialises in unusual and exotic plants, including carnivorous plants, terrarium plants, orchids and other unique species.

We are looking for an accurate and reliable plant packer who can work flexibly and help us carefully process, pack and prepare our customer orders for shipment.

Job description

As a plant packer, you will be responsible for carefully packing exotic plants and plant supplies. You will ensure that everything is packed neatly and safely while also paying attention to presentation and the customer’s unboxing experience.

You will check orders and prepare them for shipment. Where necessary, you will also assist with light administrative duties and general tasks, such as keeping the workplace clean and organised and potting and caring for plants.

ensuring products are properly protected and presented;

carrying out light administrative duties;

keeping the workplace clean and organised;

occasionally helping with potting and caring for plants.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who works accurately, can complete tasks independently and would enjoy being part of a small, informal team surrounded by plants.

You may be a good fit for this position if you:have strong attention to detail;

can work independently and responsibly;work quickly, neatly and accurately;

have experience as a packer, production worker or order picker, or are willing to learn quickly;

have a good command of either Dutch or English;

are available for one or two days per week;

are preferably available between Tuesday and Friday;

are available for at least six months;

can travel independently to our workplace in Aalsmeer;

would enjoy occasionally helping at plant fairs;

Experience with plants is an advantage but is not required. It is more important to us that you work carefully and reliably and enjoy working with unusual plants.

What do we offer?

a part-time position under an employment contract;

one or two working days per week, to be agreed;

working days mainly between Tuesday and Friday;

occasional weekend work at plant fairs, always by prior agreement;

a varied job working with unusual plants;

a friendly, informal and very green working environment;

salary in accordance with the applicable statutory minimum wage or statutory minimum youth wage, depending on your age, excluding holiday allowance;

the possibility of long-term employment;

opportunities to take on additional duties if it proves a good fit for both sides.

Location

The work takes place at our location in Aalsmeer. You must therefore be able to travel to Aalsmeer independently.
