At first the Dionaea muscipula ‘Wacky traps’ was distributed under the name Dionaea muscipula ‘Bart Simpson’ because of the resemblance of the plant to this cartoon hero. This Venus fly-trap was discovered by accident in a container of mutants in a Dutch nursery . flowers. This Venus fly-trap has fleshy traps and it has wide, triangular teeth, which will even take a few minutes before they are completely shut : a real spectacle in your own home.
