The Dionaea muscipula ‘Jaws smiley’ is a spectacular, distinctive Venus fly-trap mutant. Discovered a few years ago it owes its name to the mean sneer these traps seem to have. The teeth of the traps of the Dionaea muscipula ‘Jaws smiley’ develop at an almost perfect angle of 90 degrees as a result of which they grow diametrically opposite the teeth on the other side.
