This hybrid does not form lianas but when it receives support, for instance in the form of a tree trunk, it wraps itself round the support and climbs upwards. With the right level of humidity the plant produces beautiful wide pitchers. When it flowers, Nepenthes veitchii produces a cluster of yellowish brown flowers. These flowers can be formed throughout the year.
Nepenthes veitchii requires a great deal of sunlight light but should not be positioned in direct sunlight or it will become dehydrated. The best temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius and certainly no lower than 10 degrees Celsius or higher than 30 degrees Celsius. It needs watering generously with rainwater or distilled water in a well-drained pot. It should be sprayed regularly to ensure there is water in the pitchers. The plant’s location must have a relatively high level of humidity. The best type of growing medium is neutral to slightly acidic peat. It can be pruned if it becomes too tall.
