Plant care: Tropical pitcher plant 'Nepenthes' x 'Rebecca Soper'

This tropical pitcher plant x Rebecca Soper (Nepenthes x Rebecca Soper) needs a lot of sunlight. However, do not place the plant in direct sunlight because of the risk of dehydration. The optimal temperature is between 15 and 25⁰C and should not fall below 10⁰C or exceed 30⁰C. Because Nepenthes x Rebecca Soper is a cross between two highland species, it is more resistant to lower temperatures. Give plenty of rainwater or distilled water that can drain from the pot. Also spray the plant regularly with a plant sprayer, so that a layer of water remains in the pitcher. The space in which the plant is located must have a relatively high humidity. The species does well on neutral to slightly acidic peat and needs extra nutrients. You can safely prune the plant if it becomes too large. For additional information, see the Araflora plant care symbols.
