Drosera trinervia is a South African sundew that has a large area of distribution. On the underside of each of the trapping leaves three veins run. This characteristic has earned Drosera trinervia its name. This carnivorous plant is dormant in the summer and will die of down to the roots in the warmer period of the year. In the winter the sundew will re-emerge above the surface.
Drosera trinervia can be cultivated in a mixture of peat, sand and perlite and is best kept quite moist during its active growing period in winter. When it gets warmer in the summer Drosera trinervia will go into a dormant state. When this happens the soil can be left to dry slightly, leaving it moderately moist.
