Sundew scorpiodes (Drosera) is the largest of the pygmy species, and is endemic to Australia. This carnivorous plant, like most pygmy species needs gritty and dry surroundings to thrive. Drosera scorpioides forms towers by growing a stem on its older generations of dead leaves. This sundew, like other pygmy species grows flowers as well as gemmae, through which it can propagate asexually.
