Heliamphora heterodoxa is a carnivorous plant that forms apple-green pitchers with reddish edges, topped by a small nectar lid that lures insects. Slippery edges cause prey to fall inside, where they are digested. It can reach up to 30 cm tall and produces white-pink, bell-shaped flowers with prominent yellow stamens. Unlike many Heliamphora species, Heliamphora heterodoxa is not limited to high-altitude plateaus, making it more heat-tolerant than its relatives.
