The Philodendron xanadu is native to Brasil, where it can grow into a large leaves that look as if they have been incised. The young leaves are less incised than the older ones. The leaf itself is large and glossy-green. A large Philodendron xanadu will develop a big bundle of leaves and grow to a maximum height of one metre. Usually the plant stays much smaller. Araflora sells the Philodendron xanadu in various sizes.
The Philodendron xanadu is an easy-care houseplant, which in summer can be put out on a balcony or terrace. It thrives in every type of light apart from bright, direct sunlight. The best spot is in the half shadow or one that only has sunlight during certain hours. The soil of the Philodendron xanadu must stay quite moist, but its excess moisture should be drained through a hole at the bottom of its container. The ambient temperature for this plant has to be between 10°-35°Celsius [50°-95°F]. This plant prefers a permeable type of soil. Once a month the Philodendron xanadu should be given some fertilizer to stimulate its growth.
