The Philodendron selloum gold is a unique and rare cultivar, these aroids are robust growers and perfect houseplants. This species is often found with the unpublished name ‘Philodendron sellum’. The plants offered are strong but on limited supply. As with other similarly coloured variations from other species, they need a little bit of extra care and a dedicated plant grower!

The Philodendron Selloum Gold has golden, lobed leaves. Because of the yellowish color, some people might think this plant is malnourished. This golden color is actually totally normal for this plant. It’s exactly what makes this Philodendron so special! This plant is originally found in the rainforests of Central and South America. In the wild this plant can grow up to be a few meters tall.
Philodendrons are fairly easy to take care of. When the first few centimeters of the soil feel dry, it’s time to water the plant again. Be careful not to overwater the plant as this may cause the root to rot. It wouldn’t hurt to mist the plant a few times a week during the drier months to stay on top of the humidity. The Philodendron Selloum Gold would do well in partial shade. Just make sure you don’t put it in direct sunlight.
