Plant information: Philodendron pedatum

The Philodendron pedatum is a plant which is originally found in the jungles of Ecuador, Colombia and French-Guyana. In the jungle this plant climbs up on high trees and it’s most suitable as a climber in your home too. If you support the plant by using coconut poles you will notice this plant grows very fast and can become up to 1 meter in height! Because of its lobbed leaves, people also call this variation of the Philodendron the ‘’Oak Leaf Philodendron’’.

Plant care: Philodendron pedatum

The Philodendron pedatum is low in maintenance because it easily adapts to different climates. The best method to check if the plant needs water is to check if the first few centimeters of the soil feel dry. If it’s possible to water this plant with rainwater instead of tap water, then please do so. Araflora advises you to give the pedatum some regular plant nutrition once every month. Make sure the soil is moist when you use the nutrition.
