Paphiophiopedilum delenatii bloom in winter and early spring with one or two flowers on a straight stem up to 20 cm long. The upright and the two protruding petals are almost white and the slipper-shaped lip has a beautiful contrasting pink-red color. The leaf is beautifully spotted.
Paphiophiopedilum delenatii requires a slightly shaded spot out of full sun. In summer, an average daily temperature of around 26°C and a 75% humidity is suggested. A well-draining, airy orchid soil of bark and peat moss is recommended as potting soil. Water regularly, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Feed orchid food in a low concentration every two weeks and occasionally flush the soil to remove excess salts. During the winter rest period during give little water and no food. We recommend repotting the plant in new soil after flowering, when the formation of new roots starts again, making sure to put the plant in the ground at the same height as it was before.
