Plant care: Orchid 'Ludisia discolor var. Nigrescens'

In the wild Ludisia discolor grows in shady areas in cloudy forests. Although temperatures feel tropical there, the orchid is not used to a lot of light. The orchid can grow on both earth and rocky surface, as long as it is in the proximity of a river. A steady supply of water is therefore necessary. Offer plenty of shadow and a high humidity . With a night temperature averaging between 22-28 degrees Celsius Ludisia discolor grows optimally. During the day the temperature can be even 5 degrees warmer.
