The Neoregelia ampullacea is an easy-care species of bromeliad, that thrives indoors or in a terrarium. Its leaves have a striped pattern of reddish-brown and green stripes across the width of the leaf. Out of the middle of the plant the leaves with rounded tips evolve in the shape of a ring. When this plant is in flower it grows a large cluster of flowers in its centre. The Neoregelia ampullacea is native to the tropical rainforests of Brasil where it grows as an epiphyte. The Neoregelia ampullacea is the kind of plant that can easily be kept at home or in the office. Place it in a light spot or in half shadow. Water the Neoregelia ampullacea sufficiently, so the soil will always be slightly moist.
