The Nematanthus strigillosus is a very attractive small, tropical plant to keep in the home or in a paludarium [a terrarium with a land and a water area]. Its leaves are dark-green and glossy; the plant stays small, 15 to 30 centimetres high. The flowers are bright-orange to red and will be in bloom the whole year round. The Nematanthus strigillosus is sold by Araflora for decoration only not for consumption.
The Nematanthus strigillosus is easy to care for. This exotic plant likes a light spot or one in half shadow. The Nematanthus strigillosus needs a less than average amount of water: better too little than too much. Too much permanent moisture near the roots can be really bad for the plant.
