Cycas are classed as cycads, but they are actually more related to conifers than to ferns or palms. Fossils of cycas dating back to prehistoric times have been found. Cycas clivicola is an investment for the future: it can live for more than 100 years. The Latin clivicola translates as cliff dweller.
Taking care of the Cyclas clivicola is not difficult. Give the plant a little water every now and then. Place the plant indoors or outdoors; the plant is frost resistant to about -4°C. A position in the shade or partial shade is sufficient.
