The Euphorbia gorgonis is a so-called "Medusa head" Euphorbia, which means that the plant produces shoots from the top of the tuber, making it look like snakes are coming from the plant. Hence the name gorgonis of the Latin Gorgon, because Medusa was a gorgon.
This plant is easy to keep, it requires a well-draining, very airy soil and a spot in full sun. The Euphorbia gorgonis grows slowly and can stay in the same pot for 2 years. Water the plant regularly during the growing season, but make sure that water does not remain in the pot. In the winter, the Euphorbia should remain practically dry, but never let it dry out completely. As with all euphorbias, be careful of the white, latex-like toxic sap that comes out of the Euphorbia gorgonis when it is damaged.
