Asplenium nidus ‘Crispy’ is a popular and beautiful fern with a distinctive goblet or shuttlecock shape. Its wavy fronds give it a stylish and contemporary appearance. It enjoys moderate, indirect light but must not be exposed to direct sunlight. It suits the kind of modern interior where green plants are once again fashionable.
Asplenium nidus ‘Crispy’ should be watered regularly and kept moist but the compost must never be soaking wet. If the interior environment is low on humidity, the plant’s large, ruffled leaves will acquire brown edges. To create the required level of humidity, place the pot on an inverted dish on top of a second dish containing water. As the water evaporates it will boost ambient humidity.
