This Bladderwort 'Utricularia Starter package 4' consists of four species. Always Utricularia livida, Utricularia calycifida and the nice Utricularia sandersonii. Depending on our stock we add Utricularia livida mexico, Utricularia flaccida of Utricularia pubescens. These carnivorus plants are nice for in a window or as terrariumplant. These Utricularia plants have all small snares that snap shut with lightning speed to catch little soil animals. The flowers of these utricularia are really nice.

These unique carnivorous plants thrive in moist, acidic soil and prefer bright, indirect light, although they can tolerate some direct sunlight, provided they are not exposed to intense midday sun. Utricularia needs constant moisture, so it is important to water with distilled or rainwater and keep the roots moist. Since they are aquatic or semi-aquatic, they do best in shallow trays of stagnant water, mimicking their natural habitat.Although Utricularia usually does not require additional nutrition Utricularia likes warm temperatures between 20°C and 30°C (68°F-86°F) and needs high humidity and good air circulation to stay healthy.
