This Begonia "Autumn Ember" has been specially selected for its cinnamon-colored foliage. This way you can enjoy beautiful autumn colors all year round. An extra special feature of the leaves is that they are slightly asymmetrical, as is often the case with begonias. A cluster of male or female white-pink flowers, which have a striking bundle of stamens or stamp in the center, rise above the leaves of Begonia 'Autumn Ember', during flowering.

The leaves of this tropical begonia have a reddish brown color, with a clearly visible vein pattern. Begonia "Autumn Ember" was created by crossing the varieties Marmaduke and Angel glow. The hairy stems of this Begonia end in a number of male or female flowers with two slightly transparent petals, which bear a cluster of bright yellow stamens or stigma. Begonia "Autumn Ember" grows to about 30cm tall.
Begonia "Autumn Ember" is very easy to care for. We recommend placing the plant in a light spot with a small amount of direct sunlight. That way you ensure that the leaves develop the most color. Room temperature is extremely suitable for this Begonia, but ensure that the temperature does not drop below 10⁰C or exceed 30⁰C. Keep the humidity around 70% during the day. A substrate on which the plant will grow well is a mix of peat with a different substrate, eg perlite. You will find these and other growing supplies in our "Plant accessories" section. Allow this to dry slightly before re-watering. You can fertilize this plant with half strength plant food. Cut dead flowers and leaves from Begonia "Autumn Ember" to prevent disease.
