The plant is one of the most indestructible species, without compromising the beauty of the plant. Begonia venosa has a remarkable growth habit. The plant grows on a stem instead of in a compact rosette. White flowers emerge at the ends of the stems during flowering.

Begonia venosa in indigenous to Brazil, where the species grows in a relatively harsh climate. The leaves look a lot like those of a lily, but are covered with many tiny white hairs. This gives the leaves their special shine. Begonia venosa grows in height and can therefore reach a length of up to half a meter. The flowers of this species are smaller than average, but stand out because of their color and number.
Begonia venosa is a very tough plant. Dehydration and neglect are tolerated to a large extent. The plant does need a lot of light and also likes a small amount of direct sunlight. The room temperature must be above 10⁰C and below 30⁰C, ideally between 20-25⁰C. During the day, an optimal humidity of around 65% is required, at night it may be slightly higher. Place the plant in a pot with good drainage. The soil should be allowed to dry up before watering again. It is advisable to use a mix with peat as a substrate.
