Anthurium trinerve is an Anthurium species with elongated leaves and a inflorescence consisting of a flower with a striking colored bract. Particularly the spadix of the Anthurium wendlinger is very special: long and spiral-shaped curly. In the young inflorescence the spadix is still straight.

Anthurium obtusum, sometimes synonymous to Anthurium trinerve, is an Anthurium with rather leather-like oval leaves. It is a shrublike Anthurium that can grow outside in warmer climates, but in north-west Europe is prefers a place inside. Anthurium obtusum is suitable as terrarium plant and as a houseplant.
