Doryopteris cordata, like many other fern species, requires a spot in partial shade. Bright, direct sunlight can damage the leaves. High humidity of at least 70% is essential to mimic its natural tropical habitat as closely as possible. This makes this fern particularly suitable for a terrarium. The ideal temperature is around 25°C (77°F). Plant Doryopteris cordata preferably in an airy orchid mix, available in our plant accessories section. This substrate retains sufficient moisture, while excess water can drain easily. Keep the soil constantly slightly moist, but avoid waterlogging to prevent rot and disease. Preferably use water with low mineral content. For a healthy and well-maintained appearance, it is advisable to regularly remove old or dead leaves and stems. Cut these away with clean, disinfected scissors to keep the plant healthy and clean. Doryopteris corata plantcare; the symbols below will give you additional about this botanical fern.
