Genlisea – The Corkscrew Plant

The Genlisea genus, along with Utricularia (Bladderworts) and Pinguicula (Butterworts), belongs to the Lentibulariaceae family. This fascinating genus of carnivorous plants consists of approximately 22 species, primarily found in Africa and South America. In recent years, several new species have been discovered, highlighting the diversity of these unique carnivorous plants.
