Product info
There are numerous varieties of Venus flytrap. Dionaea muscipula 'Cube trap' is an exceptional cultivatar variety produced in cultivation by selective breeding. Venus flytraps come originally from North America where they grow in poor soil in boggy areas. In the summer months, their leaf stalks grow longer so they can absorb maximum light in the dense vegetation which is their natural habitat.
Plant care
Dionaea muscipula 'Kubus trap' is best placed in direct sunlight. Its growing medium must be kept wet with rainwater, boiled water or demineralised water. Tap water is not advisable; it is normally full of minerals and therefore likely to produce root rot. Dionaea muscipula 'Kubus trap' can not close its leaf lobes but obtains sufficient nutrients from plenty of water and light.
