Doryopteris pedata is found in the wild in tropical Central and South America, where it grows on the shady forest floor. It is a fern with dimorphic fronds, meaning it produces two differently shaped types of leaves. Doryopteris pedata reaches a height of approximately 30 cm and boasts a rich, bright or dark green color.  Additional information about this plant will become available later. Doryopteris pedata thrives best in a spot with partial shade. The fern requires a temperature of around 25°C for optimal growth, making it highly suitable for terrarium cultivation—especially since it also requires humidity levels above 70%. Various substrates can be used, such as standard potting soil, a mixture of peat/sphagnum moss and perlite, or orchid mix. Orchid mix is ​​the most suitable option, as it ensures good drainage of excess water while retaining enough moisture for the roots.
