Xanthosoma lindenii' can grow up to one and a half meters high, with beautiful large leaves that follow each other nicely so you don't look at leafless stems. The colour can vary from a fresh light green to a deep dark green, dependiing how much light the plant receives.
Never let this houseplant dry out completely, as this can damage the leaves! Make sure that 'Xanthosoma lindenii' also never sits with its feet in the water, because this can cause root rot. The older leaves die off to make place for new leaves, but can also be cut off. If a lot of leaves turn yellow to brown at the same time, this can mean that the plant is in too light a place. Plant in a nutritious substrate and fertilizing during the growing season with mild nutrients is important, it takes a lot of energy to make the big leaves.
