Dionaea muscipula 'Louchapates' - CarniVFT160
Dionaea muscipula 'Louchapates' - CarniVFT160
The Dionaea muscipula ‘Louchapates’ was discovered by grower Romauld Anfraix among a batch of ‘Dionaea fused tooth’ . The traps of the Dionaea muscipula ‘Louchapates’ show a rich variation in differing teeth, sometimes fused together and sometimes free-standing. The name ‘Louchapates ‘ [ French for noodle spoon] refers to the shape of the traps, that can grow to a length of 3 centimetres, whereby the extremities of each half of the leaf may grow together. Exposed to direct sunlight ...
it can sometimes lead to the emergence of a red stripe just under the teeth on the outside of the trap.
