The Dionaea muscipula ‘Green wizard’ has evolved out of a spontaneous mutation. The teeth of the totally green, ensnaring leaves are notably small and short. Because of this it seems as if the Dionaea muscipula ‘Green wizard’ cannot do much harm but appearances are deceptive! The rapidly closing, attractive traps from which these pointed teeth grow are on the outside yellowy-green and on the inside pale-red. The traps can grow to a length of some 3 ...
centimetres. The Dionaea muscipula ‘Green wizard’ has been selected by Araflora as one of the Venus fly-trap mutants with many interesting, external characteristics.
