The Dionaea muscipula ‘Dingley giant’ is, as its name already indicates, a large plant. The size of its traps will scare us people quite considerably. On the other hand the traps of the Dionaea muscipula ‘Dingley giant’ are good at tempting many unsuspecting insects with their reddish inside and their attractive smell. The teeth are exceptionally long and can like the rest of the trap develop a red colour when exposed to enough light.
