Dionaea muscipula 'Chacho' - CarniVFT15
Dionaea muscipula 'Chacho’ is a Venus flytrap cultivar which has dark green leaf lobes with fleshy edges. Blunt teeth along the edges allow the plant’s prey to walk or fly into the trap. Once inside, however, there is no way of escaping.

Venus flytraps are originally from North America where they inhabit sunny and boggy locations amidst dense vegetation. Flytraps catch their prey with leaves that snap shut when triggered by prey touching the tiny hairs on the upper leaf surface. Digestive glands in the leaf lobes are then activated to start digestion of the plant’s prey.Dionaea muscipula 'Chacho’ is an unusual carnivorous plant that is highly effective in trapping and consuming insects.
Dionaea muscipula 'Chacho’ likes wet conditions and direct sunlight. It should be watered with rainwater or boiled water; tap water is often unsuitably hard with a high mineral content. As a houseplant, Dionaea muscipula 'Spiky' thrives indoors in a sunny spot such as on a window ledge. As an exotic garden plant, it will do well near a water feature such as a pond in a damp and sunny spot.
