Dionaea muscipula 'Anemone' is a spectacular cultivar – a variety produced in cultivation by selective breeding. Venus flytraps are carnivorous plants, originally from North America where they grow in boggy conditions and sunny locations amidst dense vegetation. If the plant is positioned in direct sunlight, its traps will snap shut even more quickly.
Dionaea muscipula 'Anemone' likes wet conditions, preferably in direct sunlight. It should be kept constantly moist with rainwater, boiled water or demineralised water. Venus flytraps do not need feeding as they obtain all the nutrients they need from the prey they catch.
