Plant information: Tropical pitcher plant 'Nepenthes special 4 Starter package'

The starter pack consists of four different types of Nepthenes from south-east Asia. Because they are quite small, these pitcher plants will do well in a terrarium. These species of Nepthenes produce clusters of yellow/green flowers and can do so all year round.

Plant care: Tropical pitcher plant 'Nepenthes special 4 Starter package'

As with other Nepthenes, these plants require plenty of sunlight. They must not be placed in full sun, however, so they do not become dehydrated. The best temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, certainly no lower than 10 degrees Celsius or higher than 30 degrees. The plants will need plenty of rainwater or distilled water and a well-drained pot. They also need spraying regularly with water so the pitchers retain water. They need an environment with a relatively high level of humidity. They thrive in neutral to slightly acidic peat, do not require feeding and can be pruned if necessary.
