Drosera admirabilis - CarniDr02
Drosera admirabilis - CarniDr02
The Drosera admirabilis is a remarkable carnivorous plant from the sundew family. It has rosette-shaped, succulent (fleshy) leaves, from which grows a rolled flower stalk, which looks like a tongue. These characteristics give Drosera admirabilis an even more animal-like appearance. Suitable for use on the windowsill or in a terrarium.

The Drosera admirabilis originates from South Africa. Because of its subtropical origin, this sundew does not need to hibernate. It grows quickly and up to 10 cm. Like other members of the sundew family, it catches insects with the sticky tentacles on its leaves.
The Drosera admirabilis grows best in a peat-perlite mix or pure sphagnum (peat moss). Keep the plant indoors in a warm place with plenty of sunlight and leave a dish of water under the pot so the roots stay wet.
