This succulent appreciates plenty of sunlight and fresh air during the summer months. It can withstand cold conditions in winter, provided it is kept dry. In cultivation, Sulcorebutia species are grows slowly into a sizable mound; however, plants in its harsh natural habitat typically remain much smaller. Plant care for Sulcorebutia is a small, cactus known for its colorful spines and beautiful blooms. It thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sunlight. This cactus prefers well-draining soil, such as a mix of cactus or succulent soil with added perlite or sand for extra drainage. Water moderately during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. During the dormant winter period, reduce watering significantly.
