The Masdevallia tovanrensis is a kind of orchid which was named after the town Tovar in Venezela, where the plant is found at altitiudes between 1600 and 2400 meters above sea level. The temperature range for this orchid is cool to cold. The flower is white and has the typical Masdevallia shape: the fused petals form a kite-shaped flower with extending wisps at the ends of the three petal parts.
