Because the orchid grows on trees in the wild, a soil containing bark and moss is best suitable for this plant. Araflora offers a special orchid mix, based on pine tree bark, see 'pine bark course' (orchid bark). It is important to water the plant well, because it is not capable of storing moisture. For the same reason it is a good idea to grow sphagnum (a kind of moss) in the proximity of Dracula diabola, because moisture slowly evaporates from it. Do not let the soil dry up in between watering. A hanging basket or net pot works well for Dracula diabolo .Try to provide a night temperature between 14-18 degrees Celsius. During daytime it can be 5 degrees warmer.
