Bulbophyllum tingabarinum is found in nature in Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Like many species, this orchid grows upon trees. The leaves are around 10 centimetre and grow from bulbs, which is why this group of orchids has the name 'Bulpophyllum'. Its orange flowers can grow as large as its leaves. It's not the lip, but two other flower petals which determine the length. The scent of Bulbophyllum tingabarinum can be described as carroty or like an orange.
Bulbophyllum tingabarinum favours temperatures around 25⁰C. Make sure the temperature doesn't drop below 15⁰C or rise above 30⁰C. The environment of Bulbophyllum tingabarinum should have a humidity around 80%. It's best to keep this orchid in a light spot, while avoiding direct sunlight.
