In nature, Microsorum diversifolium grows primarily in wooded areas around Australia and New Zealand, where this fern adapts to both tropical and temperate conditions. Microsorum diversifolium owes its name to the characteristic, deeply incised leaves that resemble the legs of a kangaroo. The leaves are thick and leathery, usually green in color, and can reach a height of approximately 60 cm. Small dots are often visible on the upper side of the leaf, corresponding to the spore clusters on the underside of the fern frond. Using the Araflora symbols below, you can obtain additional product information about Microsorum diversifolium.
For good growth, Microsorum diversifolium prefers a bright spot with clear, indirect light, such as near a north- or east-facing window. Microsorum diversifolium tolerates heat well but not direct sunlight, as this can cause brown spots on the leaves. Keep the potting soil slightly moist by watering when the top layer of soil has dried out, and prevent the root ball from remaining wet for extended periods. Use an airy and well-draining soil mixture and provide plant food once every three to four weeks during the growing season. The ideal temperature is between 15 and 25 °C. The symbols below provide additional care information for this Microsorum fern.
