Huperzia 'Lycopodium' goebelii 'XXL' - Lyco12c
Huperzia goebelii is quite distinct from other types of Huperzia because of its turquoise colour. It is found in the wild in Indonesia and Malaysia where it is relatively uncommon. It can reach a length in excess of two metres. Its unusual appearance, size and silver sheen make Huperzia goebelii a highly prized addition to any collection of tropical plants.

Huperzia goebelii propagates itself by means of spores which it forms at the base of its leaves.
Huperzia goebelii grows best in a warm and humid environment at temperatures between 15⁰ C and 30⁰ C. It needs watering only when the substrate has become fairly dry. It must not be left standing in water. Pebbles mixed with peat or sphagnum will facilitate good drainage. Fresh air circulating around the plant will protect it from infection. Huperzia goebelii needs plenty of light but should not be exposed to direct sunlight or it will become dehydrated. This plant should not be pruned.
