Plant care: Hoya verticillata

Hoya verticillata is a strong plant suitable for a terrarium or simply as a house plant. In its natural setting, Hoya verticallata loses half of its leaves in the dry season and therefore needs a considerable amount of light in its dormant phase. If placed behind glass it can withstand direct sunlight. It should be planted in a well-drained potting medium and fed once a week during the growing period. It is unlikely to be affected by pests or diseases, although it may become infected with mealy bugs if the level of humidity is too low, especially in winter.
