When fertilized orange berries appear after a while. The Haemanthus albiflos' bulb protudes above the ground a little and is light green of color. The flower stalk grows from the bulb between two large, fleshy leaves. The species name 'Haemanthus' comes from the Greek word for 'Blood flower', while 'Albiflos' is from Latin and means 'White flower'.
