Plant care: Ginger 'Globba patens'

The Globba patens is easy to care for as long as there is enough light and the humidity is relatively high. Give the Globba patens a light spot but not one in bright, direct sunlight. Water it sufficiently by placing the container in a saucer filled with water. Leave the saucer without water for a few days before refilling. To raise the humidity spray some water from time to time. If the growth of the Globba patens runs parallel to a period of low humidity, its leaves will curl up a little. Temperature should remain between 8°Celsius [46.4°F] and 30°Celsius [86°F]. In fact keeping the plant at room temperature is ideal. Araflora has many soil substrates for sale, that are nutritious and capable of retaining water.
