This small fern originates in Peru and has a creeping growth. It is an ideal plant to grow on a fern root back wall or on an epiphyte trunk. This fern species’ small leaves have small hairs which collection moisture. The brightly colored leaves give this fern species a pretty look.

In its original habitat, this fern species is found in the tropical parts of Peru. There this small fern species grows on trees. Complete trunks can be covered by this plant. In nature the fern species Peru grows in bright places where it is relatively dry. The roots cling completely to the tree.
Place fern species Peru in a bright spot. Misting it a few times per week with soft water (osmosis water for example) is recommended. Extra fertilization is not immediately required. Provide this small fern with a airy substrate or place the fern on a fern root or epiphyte trunk. Always add some soil substrate (such as peat) en Sphagnum around the roots if the plant is not placed in a substrate.
