The caudex (tuber) of the Euphorbia trichadenia can be 6 to 20 centimeters wide. Every year green shoots with leaves sprout from the tuber which looks like a large cork-like barked rootstock . The flowers from this Euphorbia trichadenia are very special, yellow in color and with a beautiful crowned edge.
The plant likes sun to partial shade, with a minimum temperature of 5°C. In the wild they grow in a substrate of sand and mulch. As with any Euphorbia species, you must be careful the Euphorbia trichadenia must be careful of the white, latex-like sap that comes out of the plant if it is damaged, as this sap is poisonous.
