Epipremnum pinnatum - Aroid210
Epipremnum pinnatum - Aroid210
A unique variation of the well-known houseplant 'Pothos' with dark blue leaves: this variation only grows in the wild on the Filipino island of Cebu. The colour of the leaves looks a bit like ivy and because this climbing plant has pointed leaves it is also called 'Devil's ivy'.

The dark blue arrow-shaped leaves are the leaves of the plant in its juvenile form. If this plant doesn't get the chance to climb, but can just hang and crawl, it will stay in this beautiful youth form forever. When 'Epipremnum pinnatum does get the chance to climb its leaves will fork over time, similar to the swiss cheese plant: Monstera deliciosa.
An airy, nourishing soil is ideal for this houseplant. This powerful plant grows quickly and will need to be repotted or pruned on time. This plant is not really picky about light, shade or full sun, as long as it is not too close to a window, it can do it all. Sometimes stems produce smaller and smaller leaves, until they eventually grow bare stems, in the wild the plant will look for something to climb on. If you prune the plant back, it will produce beautiful stems with leaves again.
