The Guzmania x Fortune Hope houseplant is a bromeliad with a beautiful crown of thick leaves. From the middle of the whorl a long flower stalk emerges. On this stalk grow bright red leaf-shaped bracts. The stalk ends in a grow with the actual small white-yellow flowers. Guzmania x Fortune Hope is an easily maintained bromeliad which is ideal for in the office or living room. Naturally it grows in the tropical rain forests of South America. Here it lives as an epiphyte, growing on top of other plants. Guzmania x Fortuna Hope is loved among frogs and salamanders due to the water that is held in the middle leaves of the plant.
This Guzmania x Fortuna Hope bromeliad likes bright surroundings, but should be kept out of direct sunlight. The plant'S soil should always be kept a little moist. Guzmania x 'Fortuna Hope' also gets water from the air, so make sure to mist it regularly with water. The high humidity will benefit the plant. The tropical plant must be kept between 18 and 30 degrees Celsius. A soil with little plant nutrition is suitable, such as a mixture or peat and sand.
