Plant care: Blue ginger 'Dichorisandra thyrsiflora'

The exotic Brazilian plant, Dichorisandra thyrsiflora thrives indoors but also on a balcony or terrace. The Dichorisandra thyrsiflora prefers to be in a light spot or one in half shadow. The soil should stay moist; placing the container in a saucer filled with water will help. The humidity can be raised by occasionally spraying with water. An Araflora mix with sufficient nutrition and capable of retaining water is a good choice for the potting soil of the Dichorisandra thyrsiflora.
