The Begonia listada originates in Brazil. Aside from the stripe down the length of the leaf and its red underside, the species is also characterized by the silky softness of the leaf 'Due to small hair on or under the leaf'. There are a number of hybrids of the Begonia listada. Its growth is somewhat horizontal.
Begonia listida fits well in a terrarium 'Medium' light and warmth, and high humidity'. As a house plant its soil should be kept slightly moist. It is preferable to give it lukewarm water. Don'T rotate the Begonia if it'S in the windowsill as the delicate stalk may break as the flower tries to reorient towards the sunlight.
